What is underwater hockey?

Underwater hockey (UWH), once known as Octopush, is a team sport played with a weighted puck at the bottom of the pool.
Players repeatedly dive (to play the puck) and resurface (to breathe).
A regulation game is 6 v 6 (no goalies) with 15-minute halves.
Special snorkeling gear is worn, along with a polo cap, mouthguard, and glove for protection.
A short one-handed stick is used to push, pull, and flick the puck.
As a low-impact limited-contact sport, underwater hockey is ideal for players of all ages.
The breath-holding aspect of the game is a great equalizer. No single player can dominate a game alone, and every player is valuable to the team.
